Baby Fans, Inc. (“BabyFans”) Privacy Policy is as part of our commitment to protecting our customers’ (the “Customers”) personal information from misuse when shopping at babyfans.com, as defined in BabyFans’ Terms of Service for Baby Fans, Inc. (the “Terms of Service”).
The following discloses information gathering and dissemination practices for the BabyFans website, found at www.babyfans.com, BabyFans’ business practices and its employees.
1. Information Collection and Use:
a. General Tracking Information:
BabyFans tracks Customer’s traffic patterns throughout the BabyFans website in order to provide our customers with the most enjoyable and effective shopping experience possible. BabyFans may break down overall usage statistics according to a Customer’s domain name, browser type, IP address, and operating system.
b. Cookies:
BabyFans may use cookies to deliver content specific to Customer’s interests, to save a Customer’s password so that they do not need to reenter it during each visit to the BabyFans website, and for other purposes. Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and to better track ad impressions and click rates. The Help portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether. However, cookies allow you to take full advantage of some of BabyFans features, and we recommend that you leave them turned on.
c. Registration:
In order to purchase products at the BabyFans website, you may be required to give any or all of the following pieces of information: name, email address, mailing address, home phone number, cell phone number and other information that may be reasonably requested as is necessary to complete the purchase and fulfillment of your order. BabyFans also may ask additional questions related to general demographic information and school affiliation. The information BabyFans receives at registration helps it better understand how to tailor the BabyFans site and product selection to meet Customer needs. BabyFans will exercise its best efforts not to disclose a Customer's personally identifiable information to third parties unless it (1) receives permission from the Customer; (2) is required to disclose such information by any applicable law or legal process served on BabyFans, Inc.; (3) needs to disclose the information to enforce the BabyFans Terms of Service; (4) needs to disclose the information in connection with the sale of all or substantially all of the assets of BabyFans or (5) we employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, including but not limited to fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links, processing credit card payments, and providing customer service) that have a need to access personal information to perform their functions, but not for other purposes.
d. Credit Card Information:
BabyFans may ask for credit card information so that it can fulfill orders, and so that it can provide this information only to the company or companies who process the Customer’s credit card payment. BabyFans will not share a Customer’s credit card information with any third party other than those necessary to process payments.
Communication
From time-to-time, BabyFans administers email and other communications programs for the benefit of its Customers. These communications may include, but are not limited to: new product information; general information from BabyFans and its partners; answers to customer inquiries; changes in service and feature availability; certain changes to BabyFans’ Terms of Service; invitations to participate in questionnaires about the BabyFans Service(s). There are instructions at the bottom of each email message on how to unsubscribe however, some notices are mandatory, such as service announcements. BabyFans reserves the right to utilize the services of a third-party to facilitate such communications. If a Customer wishes to stop receiving email messages from BabyFans, the Customer must email unsubscribe@babyfans.com with the word “unsubscribe” in the subject field.
BabyFans Information Sharing
BabyFans uses the information it gathers to tailor its products to suit Customers' needs. BabyFans’ intention is to never share personally identifiable information with third parties. BabyFans will only release a Customer’s personally identifiable information to a third party consistent with section 1(c) above. The BabyFans website may contain links to other websites. BabyFans is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
Notification of Changes
BabyFans may edit this Privacy Statement from time to time with or without notice to you. The current Privacy Policy will be available at: www.babyfans.com.
